Imagine leaving your family and traveling more than 6000 miles to a foreign country on a scholarship to enter an emerging field of study. Sherry Dadgar, Ph.D., Founder, and CEO of Personalized Medicine Care Diagnostics Laboratory (PMCDx) and member of the Germantown Innovation Center, did this at the age of 23 when she moved to Canada to pursue her career goals. Influenced by her family of medical doctors, Sherry believed that the integration of Bioinformatics with clinical genetics and genomics was mesmerizing. “The field of genomic medicine has so much potential for creativity and is one step ahead of clinical work,” she explains passionately.
